"A Special Place in our Hearts"

Oh Smeetham...you'll always have a special place in our hearts.

Our day couldn't have been better and I feel so lucky to have had the Smeetham Hall team help to make our day absolutely perfect.

As a couple looking to get married we were looking for:

• A gorgeous venue where everyone could mingle in one big space

• A romantic setting

• A venue that would give us the flexibility to allow us to provide things for our day to give it the personal touch

• A place close by to stay (The beautiful hotel recommended to us is a 6 minute drive - where the majority of our guests booked)

• Delicious and beautifully presented food that would be a twist on our homely choices - we asked for a 'posh roast dinner'.

• For the venue to guide me when I was unsure.... (I'm sure, like most people I hadn't the foggiest how to plan a wedding!)

We got all of this and more. Bridget and Sophie were not only incredibly professional but relaxed too. There were no stuffy airs and they encouraged us to feel totally at home with the Barn. We were always welcome, emails always responded to the same day and we were greeted like old family friends. I know they always had our best interests at heart and their dedication to providing us with the day we always wanted was absolutely admirable. We had our wedding postponed during the pandemic and they were incredibly supportive and fair at a time that was devastating for them as a business. This is actually what I realised I had overlooked, but is the most important thing when choosing a venue - to have a compassionate and reliable team who actually care about you. Luckily we got a gorgeous venue complete with a gorgeous team. The food was absolutely delicious and there was loads of it! The reviews from our guests have been incredible and they're still talking about it now. Thank you Wilton & Flower for dressing the venue beautifully, Splinters for the incredible food, Chris Hewitson who was a dream to work with as a videographer and Your Wedding Disco for banging out all our favourite tunes.

And of course to Bridget and Sophie. We are truly grateful xxx

We had the most perfect, romantic evening wedding! From the second we saw Smeetham Hall Barn we knew it was where we wanted to say I do! The team here are absolutely incredible, supportive, caring, and professional to the last detail. The catering was absolutely fantastic with rave reviews from all of our guests. Thank you for what can only be described as the best day of our lives.

Simply Stunning!

To Bridget, Sophie and your incredible team at Smeetham Hall Barn. What can I say ... Smeetham Hall Barn is the most beautiful wedding venue ever! It simply is stunning and you all made it so perfect for us. So professional and friendly all the time and you instantly made me and Stuart feel so welcome from the very first time we met ... back in 2018!

During a very tough year for you all in the wedding industry, not at any point did you make me or Stu feel concerned about our wedding day. You were so accommodating with the date changes and did everything you could to make our day special, and it truly was. You made the day flow without us even knowing you were there yet also right there if we needed you.

I will never forget Sophie's welcoming voice and smiley face when I arrived at the Barn with my dad and how she helped calm my nerves for sure! The day was perfect, fun and full of love and we cannot wait to come back for the reunion!
