I don’t even know where to start with Smeetham Hall Barn - from start to finish they have been incredible! We decide to bring our wedding day forward from November to February and they were so helpful and accommodating. As soon as we stepped into the Barn, we knew it was the venue for us!
Bridget and Sophie were so friendly and helpful with all of our questions and made our special day so stress-free.

What a wonderful day we truly had from start to finish. Everything went without a hitch!!
Bridget, Sophie and Lizzie were so kind, reassuring and were there throughout our journey. Nothing was too much hassle and they helped us with whatever was needed.
We chose Wilton & Flower the in-house decorators who made everything so special and beautiful! Splinters Catering was amazing too (the food and service was out of this world) and our DJ we had as part of our package was brilliant!
We highly recommend Smeetham Hall Barn for anyone wanting their day to be magical.

What can we say! We FINALLY got married after three failed attempts in Spain due to covid. We decided we couldn’t wait any longer so made the decision to get married in the UK and boy were we not sorry!! After trawling online we didn’t see any venues which made us feel warm and fuzzy… until we came across Smeetham Hall Barn, which was an hour from us but we couldn’t not check it out! We contacted the venue and got a lovely and prompt reply from Bridget who told us her remaining dates for the year and invited us to come and have a look the following day. We turned up, fully intending to ‘play it cool’ but we both immediately fell in love with the Barn. We walked around and within minutes we decided this was the place for us to finally celebrate our marriage and the date was made! Fast forward four months (!!!!) and the day couldn’t have been better! It was totally magical, from the moment we arrived with the lit torches along the gravel drive by the lake, to the cosy and intimate marquee drinks reception on to the dark, candle & twinkly lit barn. Bridget and all the staff from Splinters were amazing. Sophie and Lizzie from Wilton & Flower had the place looking spectacular and were so helpful with their advice and ideas. The contact along the way with Bridget and the team from W&F was so easy and nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and the costs were all so so reasonable. We can honestly say it was the best day of our lives and we want to do it all over again! Tom, the bar manager, even got in the groom’s favourite IPA, so he could enjoy his usual tipple on his wedding day and the staff had them ice cold and put aside for him as soon as we arrived - it’s those little extra touches that make such a difference. Honestly Bridget, thank you from the bottom of our hearts - after the stresses we endured with all the cancelled weddings in Spain (and church the day before!!) this was above and beyond what we ever expected and it was better than we ever could have hoped for - our guests had an amazing day and are still talking about how beautiful the venue is. Hopefully your hands aren’t too sore from the many, many tea lights you had to light :) We loved every second and would recommend this venue to anyone wanting a magical and romantic venue to celebrate their wedding.
