"Sophie and Bridget were Absolute Stars!"

The moment we viewed Smeetham Hall Barn, we knew the venue was for our wedding. We were looking for a venue where all of our guests could be together for the entirety of the day, unlike other venues where the dancefloor, bar and dining can be separate. Smeetham Hall Barn ticked this box for us.

The 12 month long process of ensuring everything was in order and just as we wanted was taken care of by the team at Smeetham Hall - Sophie and Bridget were absolute stars and nothing was too much trouble. They are lovely people and the venue was spot on for all our needs. We had 103 guests and the space available was perfect, with enough space between tables without being cramped. Chris, the videographer, came with our package and we were blown away with his service and knowledge. He gave us a breakdown of the plan of the day which massively helped us to get ourselves organised. Photos shared are by photographer Lucy J Toms, who was an awesome find!

"Memories that will last a Lifetime"

A beautiful venue and a wonderful day. My son and his partner got married at Smeetham Hall in March 2022, two years after their original date had to be cancelled at the very last minute because of the first Covid lockdown. The staff at Smeetham had been brilliant in helping them get through to the eventual date this year.

The venue is in such a beautiful setting by the lake. The Barn is a really lovely old building and because of its character it does not need huge amounts of decoration to enhance its beauty as a backdrop for a wedding.

The whole place was spotlessly clean and in addition to the usual toilets, there is a room set aside for the bridal party to use and a separate toilet for the bride’s use.

The catering company - Splinters - included in the price package were excellent. A good choice of menus and plenty of food. My son and his wife chose a duck starter which was delicious, followed by roast beef and a trio of desserts. The big eaters amongst the wedding party asked the servers for more roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings which were duly supplied. We had so many compliments afterwards about the wedding and several people mentioned that the wedding breakfast was the best they had experienced.

There are a good number of nice locations for photos. The videographer included in the bridal package was brilliant and we cannot thank him enough for the beautiful video that he produced. He also helped our good friend who was in charge of taking some more general photos, giving him some tips and tricks to get some additional good photographs. He was never made to feel in the way.

We also hired the disco that is recommended in the package. He was very good and played a wide range of music that got people up on the dance floor having fun.

We all had such a wonderful day and are so grateful for the staff at Smeetham Hall for making it so special after having waited two years. The day went by so quickly but the memories will last a lifetime.

"Fantastic Value for Money!"

Absolutely stunning venue, wedding package is fantastic value for money and staff couldn't do enough for us! We had the BEST time on our wedding day.

Bridget and Sophie were so helpful making sure everything went to plan, helping to co-ordinate everything in the lead up to the wedding and on the day.

Anyone looking to get married I would 100% recommend coming to view this venue. It is stunning! We were lucky with the weather but provisions were in place in case we got rain on the day. Again, if you are newly engaged come and see this venue. It is amazing!
