Our wedding venue at Smeetham Hall Barn benefits from an idyllic location in the heart of the Essex countryside. Yet, thanks to excellent transport links, we are within easy reach of London, Hertfordshire, Suffolk and Kent.
Smeetham Hall 16th Century Barn has been beautifully converted into the most stunning of venues for civil ceremonies, wedding receptions, parties, dances and corporate events.
A stunning high vaulted ceiling with original timber beams on full show make this a truly magical venue for your wedding.
The Barn is perfect for an intimate wedding or something more sumptuous. It is large enough to cater for up to 150 guests for the sit-down wedding breakfast but it is also ideal for smaller, intimate weddings of 30 or 40.
There is a large dance area with plenty of room to dance the night away to the band or d.j. of your choice.
A P.A system linked to a cordless microphone and 6-cd player is available.
Both the barn and the marquee are heated to ensure the temperature is perfect.
Full bar facilities allow you to either have a pay-bar or you are welcome to bring in your own drink at no extra charge.
